Ullen Center’s program for 2016
The Ullen Center for contemporary Art in Beijings district 798 has two strong highlights on its calendar for 2016. Firstly, works by the American painter Robert Rauschenberg will run from June to August and will display the 450 meter long composition “The 1/4 Mile”, which he began in 1981 and continued in 1998.
The second following attraction is a solo exhibition by Zeng Fanzhi, which is believed to be his largest in scale and most comprehensive in China. It attempts to showcase the various aspects that make up Zeng’s rich artistic output, that has brought him to the top of Chinese contemporary art. Other shows include solo exhibitions by Wang Yin, Ho Liang and Nadim Abbas.
The Ullen center is a nonprofit Beijing-based art institution, founded by the Belgium collected couple Guy and Myriam Ullens. Both top shows are a must-see for 2016.
