At Art Stage in Singapore, Preview and Vernissage attracted over 7000 visitors and the mood was buoyant with galleries seeing healthy sales with some six-figure star pieces sold.
Japanese artist Takashi Murakami sold well from Galerie Perrotin as well as artist Aya Takamo. Another master from Japan, Hiroshi Senju found a buyer for his waterfall paintings through Sundaram Tagore Gallery. Indonesian Art are exhibited under the special section of the Fair and the popular Nyoman Masriadi (see above) had 2 paintings sold at Gajah Gallery for 6 digit figures. Korean and Chinese art is also well represented and Singapore gallery MAD showed new sculptures by Ai WeiWei as a selfportrait in a humorous way.
The art represented showed a good variety with focus on South East Asia and the Fair felt well planned in its lay-out.
