Beijing UCCA Center of contemporary Art has announced its grand post-covid reopening on May 21, 2020. The title of the show is “ Meditations in anEmergency”, an exhibition that has grown directly out of this unprecedented situation, says UCCA director and chief executive Philip Tinari. No exhibitions have been cancelled, but some of the more ambitious projects on the calendar have been postponed to 2021, including a Cao Fei solo show and a show about 1980’s New York art scene.
The upcoming exhibition will feature around 30 Chinese and foreign artists, still to be announced, with works from the past 15 years.
Visitors are welcome to the museum again and the ongoing precautions and restrictions are to be respected. The show closes on August 30th.
